I learned the other day that Vassago is back. The company was effectively dead this past winter, but new owners have brought it back to life. Even their web site has been updated. It looks like they will be keeping the original line of frames: Bandersnatch, Verhauen, Fisticuff, Optimus Ti and the Jabberwocky. This is good because they make really nice frames for a good price. My Jabberwocky is one of the nicest riding bikes I’ve had and I’ve owned a few that cost a LOT more. From what I’ve read, the new owners seem to have a genuine interest in the company and it’s products. Unfortunately, the previous ones didn’t seem to have a very good handle on things. Of course, I’m basing all of this on second hand information and rumors. Regardless of all that, my Jabberwocky review is now a bit more relevant. It may be a bit of a coincidence, but I was just recently debating whether or not to post a followup to that review from earlier this summer. I guess I’ll get that finished sometime in the near future and post it.
